Welcome to Apple Orchard Preschool, a play-based program that nurtures young children's development and fosters their love of learning.
Decades of research show that young children construct knowledge through play. They are active investigators who need hands-on activities and meaningful social interactions to support their natural drive to understand the world. This program creates a safe space for children to explore their interests, express their creativity, and extend their knowledge and skills.

In the garden, children will experience the growth cycle as they plant, water, harvest, and taste fruits and vegetables. There is a large sandbox, an art area, and a stump circle where we can gather together for stories and songs.
The classroom design is open-ended, so it can change with the children's interests. There is a block center, a book corner, a writing center, and a dramatic play area.
The classroom can be opened to allow children to choose between indoor and outdoor activities, expanding the space, extending children's time outdoors, and increasing the variety of available activities.
